Being the youngest of four, home schooled, and spending the majority of my childhood as a full-time staff kid at summer camp made for a life framed by adventure. Not only did I make new friends every week, but I spent nearly all my time outside. Between rock wall climbing, horseback riding, archery, and other physical activities, there was never a dull moment.

My dad has always been a traveler. He has a rough time sitting still. Because of this, I had the opportunity to spend a summer in Mexico helping to build homes for the needy, four months in China helping to start a hippotherapy program, and a small trip to Haiti to help in the groundbreaking of an orphanage. Needless to say, I have some amazing memories thanks to my dad's adventurous spirit.

My passion for writing stems from a love of reading instilled in me by my mom. She read us children's books, as most moms, but she also read the works of C. S. Lewis, Tolkien, and John White. As I grew up, Ted Dekker and his daughter Rachelle Dekker became a couple of my favorite authors. I developed a fascination for painting worlds with words. As an aspiring artist, the idea that with a few paragraphs one could transport an individual to worlds beyond their wildest dreams transfixed me.  I began regaling my family members (mostly my sisters) with the stories I came up with.

Through the years, I felt God's nudge to write. I hesitated. I never felt good enough. His nudges never ceased. So, with the lock-downs and nothing to do, I followed God's call to write.

Now, as a published author, I get to smile as I see my worlds come to life on the page. I hope you enjoy my worlds as much as I do!
